But this Chinese bike has strong European roots
Pictures of the upcoming Voge 900 DS have surfaced online, just days ahead of its debut. It's not hard to draw similarities of this Chinese ADV with the BMW F 850 GS and even the Triumph Tiger 900. And while we are used to seeing Chinese manufacturers aping European brands, this rare example is more than just that.
Voge is the premium sub-brand of Chinese two-wheeler giant Loncin, BMW Motorrad’s Contractual manufacturer. Loncin has been making complete engines, components and motorcycle parts for the Bavarian bikemaker. In fact, the BMW F 650 GS and now the F 750 GS, F 850 GS along with the F 900 XR, F 900 R, and the C 400 GT and C 400 X maxi-scooters are made in China.
That’s why everything from the engine case, exhaust and chassis to the tubeless wire-spoke rims and most body parts look straight off the German ADV. That said, the fascia of the Voge bike looks eerily similar to the Tiger 900.

While it is too early to comment on the engine specifications, it is likely to be the F 900 XR’s 895cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin mill making 104.6PS and 92Nm. Loncin may not even fiddle with the tuning of this engine.
This is not the first time Loncin has used BMW’s engine for its own products. Previously, the Loncin DS 8 was launched based on the BMW F 650 GS and more recently, the Voge SR4 Max based on the C 400 GT was introduced.
It is unlikely that the Voge 900 DS will come to India, so the BMW F 850 GS, Ducati Multistrada V2 and the Triumph Tiger 900 remain your only options for a middleweight ADV.
