The scooter is now dearer by Rs 800 across all variants
- It is the brand’s first 125cc scooter to be launched in India.
- It is also the lightest scooter in its segment at just 99kg kerb.
- Yamaha says the scooter offers 16 per cent better mileage than the 113cc Fascino BS4.
The prices of the Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi have been hiked across all its variants for the first time. It now starts from Rs 67,230 (ex-showroom Delhi). All of its variants: Std (disc/drum) and DLX (disc/drum) are now pricier by Rs 800. Here’s a detailed ex-showroom Delhi price list:
Apart from the minor price hike, the scooter remains the same as before. Its 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected motor churns out 8.2PS and 9.7Nm. It is loaded with features like a stop-start system with a silent starter for quick and noiseless engine starts. Yamaha claims the scooter offers 16 per cent higher mileage than the 113cc BS4-compliant Fascino.
The 780mm seat height is pretty decent for a scooter of this segment. This coupled with the light kerb weight of just 99kg will make it one of the easiest scooters to maneuver at low speeds. Brakes comprise either a 190mm disc or a drum up front and a drum unit at the rear. The scooter uses a telescopic front fork and a single rear shock absorber.
The Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi rivals the Honda Activa 125 BS6, Suzuki Access 125 BS6, and Hero Destini 125 BS6. In a related development, Yamaha has teased the FZ 25 BS6 and the FZS 25 BS6 on its social media channels. It will be launched after the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic lifts.
