Yamaha YZF R15 special Edition in India

India Yamaha Motor has launched Yamaha YZF R15 special Edition with a few changes in India. The Limited Edition of YZF R15 is available in White and Red colour paint Scheme. It has already been showcased at 10th Delhi Auto Expo 2010. Yamaha YZF R15 Limited Edition has already there in showrooms for sales and booking as well. Yamaha Motor officially said at the Auto Expo that this bike was expected to be rolled out by the end of February month. However, the company took some time for YZF R15 to totally come into the Indian Auto market. Besides the new paint scheme there are no changes by Yamaha Motor. But now it will cost Rs 2,000 more than the base model. As per dealers the new Yamaha YZF R15 would be priced at Rs. 1,06,000 (on road, New Delhi). Yamaha YZF R15 will be available with 149.8cc, Liquid cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC engine. As per engine capacity, this bike will deliver a maximum power of 17bhp at 8500 rpm and maximum torque 15Nm at 7500rpm. One of the major changes of this bike that at this time, the exhaust pipe has been changed by the metallic silver look instead of the traditional black finish exhaust. Earlier some website reported that the production of YZF R15 has been delayed due to some technical issue. Meanwhile, TVS Motor to launch TVS Wego, a gearless scooter, by end of this month.
