The offer is limited to buyers who purchase the standard Jawa or the Jawa Forty Two this month
Jawa has announced a new ‘Golden Stripes’ scheme, under which the brand will offer a pair of blacked-out alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and bar-end mirrors, all for a discounted price of Rs 7,999. The actual cost of all these parts amounts to Rs 14,498. This offer is valid only for those who purchase either the regular Jawa or the Jawa Forty Two this month. The scheme applies to all authorised Jawa dealerships across the country until March 31.
Equipping the bike with alloy wheels enables easy instalment of tubeless tyres. These tyres can handle punctures much better than tubed ones as they don’t lose air as quickly. The bar-end mirrors also enhance the cool factor but you’ll have to be careful while going through narrow gaps because of the extra width. While the offer is valid only for new bookings this month, we hope Jawa offers the alloys and tubeless tyres as a part of the accessory list sometime in the future. This way, existing Jawa owners can also purchase them.

All said and done, the blacked-out alloys might make the bikes lose their classic charm, but if you prioritise function over form, this is indeed a good deal. The standard Jawa is priced from Rs 1,76,151 whereas the more affordable Jawa Forty Two starts from Rs 1,63,287 for the single-channel ABS variant (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). We took Jawa’s latest motorcycle, the Forty Two 2.1, out for a spin and here’s what we thought about it.
