TVS has launched the 2019 iteration of the Apache RR 310 in India at Rs 2.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Apart from the newly introduced colour scheme, the motorcycle comes with an important update in the form of slip-assist clutch. Here is our selection of detailed shots of the bike taken at the Madras Motor Race Track:

The new Phantom Black colour looks quite stealthy despite being glossy. The Racing Black matte colour scheme of the previous generation model has been replaced by this Phantom Black colour.

The white racing stripe, with the red pinstripe flanking it, further enhances the bike’s sporty look. Plus, the gold painted forks offer a nice contrast and add a bit of premium flair.

The updated Apache RR 310 gets slipper clutch with assist function. TVS claims this feature reduces the lever effort by about 20 per cent as compared to a conventional clutch.

The instrument cluster remains the same vertical LCD unit. It shows average efficiency, real-time efficiency, gear position, range, lap timer, top speed and acceleration readouts apart from other details.

The stripe runs all the way from the fascia through the fuel tank and ends at the tail section. Also, the fuel tank shape and capacity have remained unchanged at 11 litres.

The seat continues to be the same split-type unit. However, now the motorcycle gets subtle RR 310 stickers instead of the “35 Years Of TVS Racing” stickers seen on the outgoing model.

The bottom portion of the fairing also features “RT Slipper Clutch” sticker work to differentiate it from the older model. The slipper clutch helps in aggressive downshifting without letting the rear wheel lock up. That said, the engine’s output has remained unchanged at 34PS and 27.3Nm.

The tail light design remains unchanged. However, it still hasn’t aged a day; the pincer-like LED tail lamp continues to be one of the best-looking units in the segment.
