The 2020 iteration comes with subtle design changes and a more powerful engine
- The 2020 Honda CBF190X makes 0.81PS and 1Nm more than the previous generation version.
- It gets a longer upswept exhaust system and new graphics on the bodywork.
- The 2020 model is priced at 16,380 Chinese Yuan (around Rs 1.77 lakh).
Sundiro Honda Motorcycle, Honda’s motorcycle productions and sales joint venture company in China, has launched the 2020 Honda CBF190X road-biased adventure tourer at 16,380 Chinese Yuan. This translates to around Rs 1.77 lakh.
The 2020 Honda CBF190X makes slightly more power and torque than its predecessor. The 184.4cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with fuel injection generates 16.85PS at 8000rpm and 16.3Nm at 7000rpm. That’s 0.81PS and 1Nm more than the 2019 model. Honda says it has given more emphasis on low and mid-range grunt, and that the bike is capable of hitting a top speed of 107kmph.
Underpinnings include an inverted front fork and monoshock at the rear. Since it’s a road-biased tourer, the bike rolls on alloy wheels. For optimum braking, the bike gets petal discs with Nissin calipers on both ends along with a single-channel ABS.
As far as the feature list is concerned, the CBF190X features an all-LED lighting system with hazard lamp function and a full-LCD instrument cluster with a gear position indicator. The instrument cluster also gets an integrated USB port to keep your electronic devices juiced up during long rides. The 2020 model comes with a longer upswept exhaust system instead of the stubby underbelly unit in the older model. This along with the 12mm extra ground clearance (150mm) should help in the bike’s mild-off-road capabilities.

Will this bike be launched in India? Well, the chances are quite slim since Honda’s Indian arm is currently concentrating in the transition from BS4 to BS6 emission norms apart from mitigating the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, HMSI has plans to introduce bigger capacity motorcycles rather than sub-200cc bikes in the country. You can read more about them here.
