Following the Multistrada V4 launch, Ducati is set to bring the 2021 XDiavel to India tomorrow. The latest iteration of the Italian power cruiser has already been teased on social media, and here’s all you need to know about it:
The 2021 Ducati XDiavel, launched overseas earlier this year, is available in three variants: Dark, S, and Black Star. Of them, the Black Star is the newest addition.
Design-wise, the XDiavel is identical to the standard Diavel 1260.

It’s powered by a BS6-compliant 1262cc L-twin motor generating 160PS and 127Nm. Compared to the previous iteration, the 2021 power cruiser makes 8PS and 1Nm more.
Putting a leash on the Bolognian beast is its extensive electronics suite, including three riding modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), launch control, traction control, cornering ABS, and the Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). All these can be accessed through the 3.5-inch TFT display that comes with Ducati Multimedia System (only for the Black Star variant).
The engine is housed inside a steel tubular frame suspended on a fully adjustable USD fork and a preload and rebound-adjustable monoshock. The Dark variant employs twin 320mm front discs with radially mounted Brembo M4.32 callipers, whereas the S and Black Star get M50 callipers. The rear brakes are the same for all three -- 265mm disc with Brembo 2-piston callipers.
Another difference between the three XDiavel variants is in the form of wheels. The Dark rolls on cast alloys, the S gets cast and machined alloys and the Black Star uses forged alloys, which are 2kg lighter.
Prices for the standard 2021 Ducati 1260 start from Rs 18.49 lakh. We expect the 2021 XDiavel to be priced from Rs 19 lakh onwards. Its only alternative (in India) in its segment is the Triumph Rocket 3, priced from Rs 19.35 lakh.
