Here’s taking a closer look at the updated Brit
Triumph India has added to its Bonneville lineup the 2021 Street Scrambler and its Sandstorm Limited Edition. Let’s check out the latest iteration of the British Scrambler and how it has evolved in a series of detailed pictures.
The updated Street Scrambler sports the same design as before. The headlight is flanked by bulb indicators, which is a bit too archaic at this point. However, the tail light is an LED unit.
On the other hand, the limited-edition Sandstorm gets a few extras, including a headlight grille, a higher-set front fender, and a Sandstorm Matt Storm Grey paint scheme. Moreover, Triumph will only make 775 units of it, making it more special and premium in the process.
Both models are powered by a BS6-compliant 900cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor. With 65PS and 80Nm on the tap, output figures have remained unchanged. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.
Coming to the features. The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler gets an analogue dial with a digital inset for the instrument console. It receives a speedometer, odometer, and fuel level bar.
The latest Scrambler consists of three riding modes: Road, Rain, and Off-road.
Also, there’s traction control and switchable dual-channel ABS for improved safety. Last but not least, the bike packs a USB charger and an immobiliser too.

The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler is suspended on gaitered 41mm telescopic forks and twin springs at the rear with preload adjustability.
Braking hardware consists of a 310mm front disc and a 255mm rear disc. Switchable dual-channel ABS comes standard.
The bike rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in 100/90 and 150/70 Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tyres.
The pair of upswept exhaust pipes adds to the ruggedness. The bash plate comes standard.
The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler weighs in at 223kg dry. It gets a 12-litre fuel tank.
The ribbed seat is 790mm high, and should be quite accessible for most.
Finally, we expect Triumph to price their latest offering at around Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom), which is nearly Rs 50,000 more than the previous version.
