Looks like a scaled-down version of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber
Almost every week a new motorcycle is being spied on Indian roads and the excitement levels for 2023 is only rising. It’s time to add Jawa to the list of brands with upcoming motorcycles with this spy shot of the 2023 Jawa Perak floating on the Internet. So, let’s have a closer look at what’s new on this Perak 2.0!
The Perak 2.0 test mule reminds us very much of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber. The most prominent similarity, visually speaking, is the new headlight. The current bike has a retro-looking elliptical unit while the mule is seen sporting a compact circular unit like on the Triumph Bobber. It could possibly be an LED headlight.
Other prominent visual changes include a new tank, a thicker seat, a new exhaust, beefier tyres and a new rear fender. On the rear fender you can spot a vintage-style brace to strap small items on and the taillight assembly too has been repositioned to look like the British marque’s Bobber.
You can also spot changes to the Perak’s rider triangle on this test mule. The footpegs appear to be set more forward and the handlebars raised further up. The test rider can be seen riding in a very upright and neutral position.
These are very early sightings of the Perak 2.0 and in the months to come, we hope to get a better view of the motorcycle to be certain of all the new changes we can come to expect on this motorcycle.
If Jawa offers a digital instrument cluster and other accessories like USB charging as standard on its flagship bike, we can expect an increase in retail price of the Perak by Rs 7,000.
Currently, Jawa’s bobber retails for Rs 2,09,187 (ex-showroom Delhi) and rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor 350, TVS Ronin, Honda H’ness CB350, Yezdi Roadster and the premium Keeway V302C.
