As per some sources, Ducati might be working on a scaled-down version of its popular street bike - Scrambler. As per the speculations, the new Scrambler would be equipped with a 400cc heart and will rival against the midweight street fighters in this segment. If everything goes fine, Ducati might launch the bike in order to gain some good numbers in its customer database.
Scrambler from Ducati gained popularity almost instantly after its launch. The range comprises of four models namely Icon, Urban Enduro, Classic and Full Throttle. Built on different styling yet same street platform, the bikes come loaded with a 803cc, L-twin, air-cooled engine that churns out a net power of 75bhp at 8,250rpm along with a maximum torque of 68Nm at 5,750rpm. The bikes feature some impressive elements such as LCD instrument cluster with interchangeable covers, LED tail lamp, under seat USB and a robust rounded headlight with LED ring.
The downsized Scrambler, if turns out to be a reality, is expected to come powered by a single or twin-cylinder engine that churns out power somewhere around 50bhp. The pricing might be over 4 lac to stay competitive in its segment. The bike is expected to retain the styling that comes in the present models. Let us hope that this bike hits the production lines soon and open a new door for the street bike lovers across the world.
