The NTorq 125 offers a balance between sporty performance and practicality!
The TVS NTorq 125 has been one of our favourite 125cc scooters thanks to its capability, impressive performance and feature-packed nature. In this story, we are going to explore 5 reasons that make the TVS NTorq the best 125cc sporty scooter currently available in India.
Performance & Handling
The TVS NTorq is powered by a 124.8cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, paired with a CVT gearbox. While the base variant produces 9.38PS and 10.6Nm, the NTorq Race XP, being the fastest variant, churns out 10.2PS and 10.9Nm from the same engine. The base variant comes with Street and Sport modes whereas the Race XP gets Street and Race modes. TVS was clever enough to incorporate the riding modes into these sporty scooters to deliver better fuel efficiency in Street mode, whenever needed.
Sure, the base Ntorq was already impressive in terms of performance, but the Race XP takes things to the next level. With a crisp throttle response, the scooter smoothly reaches speeds up to 75kmph. Its versatility lets you enjoy the relaxed, calm rides and those spirited, fast-paced ones as well, striking a perfect balance between everyday usability and thrilling performance.
The handling of the NTorq is on point as well, thanks to its lightweight nature, the scooter is pretty agile and easy to manoeuvre through the traffic. The suspension handles bumps and potholes pretty efficiently, contributing to a good riding experience.
Looks
The TVS NTorq stands out from the crowd, thanks to its sporty bodywork. Even though the design is almost 6 years old, it doesn’t feel outdated. Additionally, TVS also offers different variants with unique and funky graphics.
The base Ntorq is offered in four colour variants including Matte Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey and Metallic Red. Additionally, TVS also offers a Race Edition, which is available in two colours (yellow and red), the Race XP variant comes with bright red graphics, and the Race XT variant sports a funky neon paint scheme.
TVS has partnered with Marvel India to introduce a Super Squad Edition showcasing exclusive graphics inspired by Marvel Avengers, becoming the first and only manufacturer in India to do so. This special edition features graphics of Spiderman, Thor, Captain America, and Black Panther.
Practicality
The NTorq is a pretty versatile scooter that comes with multiple useful features. It has a 20-litre underseat storage with a boot light and also gets a USB charger which is included in the boot. The NTorq features an external fuel cap, making your fuel stops easier. Other useful features include smartphone connectivity, call and SMS alerts, and navigation assist.
Features
The TVS NTorq comes feature-packed and is equipped with an all-LED lighting setup on all the variants. It features a digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity that displays call and SMS alerts, navigation assist, lap timer, engine temperature details, phone battery and signal strength, last parked location assist, exclusive rider’s app and voice assist. It also gets a kill switch and a pass switch.
The Race XT variant additionally features a TFT display incorporating two screens. It has turn-by-turn navigation and gets social media, food delivery and e-commerce app notifications. And that’s not all, the scooter even displays ‘Live Cricket Scores’!
