25 TVS Ronins will be on the road to honor the spirit of women serving in the Indian army
To mark the 24th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Indian Army and TVS Motor Company have sponsored an all-female motorcycle rally. This rally honors the unwavering spirit of the Indian Army women serving under Headquarters Northern Command. The Nari Sashaktikaran Women Motorcycle Rally extends from the National War Memorial in Delhi to the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, Ladakh, attracting 25 riders riding atop TVS Ronins.
The 25 female riders will be astride the TVS Ronin, TVS’s modern-retro motorcycle. The Ronin is powered by a 225cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that makes 19.93 Nm and 20.4 PS.
The squad of riders will cover almost 1,000 kilometers throughout the rally, passing through the difficult terrain of Jammu & Kashmir (particularly Ladakh) as well as the flat land of Haryana and Punjab. The journey will end at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass on July 25 or 26 of 2023. The celebration aims to honor the valiant warriors who gave their lives while defending the country and to commemorate the military's resounding victory in the Kargil War. Gen. Manoj Pande (Chief of Army Staff), Archana Pande (Chairperson of the Army Wives Welfare Association), and Vimal Sumbly (Head Business-Premium, TVS Motor Company) led the rally's opening ceremony.
