- Ather had recently launched the 450X Plus and 450X Pro.
- The 450X Plus is more feature-packed than the 450.
- Ather’s new flexible payment plans means you can pay and access the 450X Pro’s extra performance and range anytime.
Ather has confirmed that the 450 will be discontinued. It will be replaced with the new Ather 450X Plus. Their new flexible payment plans will now allow Ather 450X Plus customers to access the more powerful 450X Pro’s performance and extra range whenever they wish to.
The move to replace the Ather 450 with the Ather 450X Plus was taken as both offer identical performance and range. Plus the Ather 450X Plus is now lighter, has a denser battery pack and a more customisable Android operating system in place of the Ather 450’s Linux OS.

The Ather 450X Plus can be bought two ways. The first one is by initially paying Rs 99,999 for the scooter and then Rs 1,699 per month for the Plus pack which gets you a free Ather Dot home charger, free charging at any of the chargers in the Ather Gird network, connected features and Over the Air updates and lifetime battery replacement warranty if the battery’s health drops below 80 percent. If you crave for more power and range, simply opt for the Rs 1,999 monthly payment plan which unlocks the Pro Pack!
The other option include you buying the scooter outright by paying Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This will get you the scooter, Ather Dot home charger and a 3-year battery. To access free charging on the Ather Grid, connected services and Over The Air Updates will cost you upwards of Rs 400 per month depending on the plan. While the Ather 450X is currently available only in Bengaluru and Chennai, Ather will be expanding to Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune July 2020 onwards.
