Ather 450X Production To Go Up From 1 Lakh To 4 Lakh Units Annually

And by 2025 produce close to 14 lakh units annually



At the launch of the new third generation Ather 450X and 450 Plus, the electric bikemaker also shared its plans of aggressively ramping up production to 14 lakh units annually by 2025.

Ather is currently operating out of a factory located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with a production capacity of one lakh units annually. This number will be four lakh units in 2023 thanks to the second larger factory also located in Hosur, with a capacity to independently roll out three lakh units annually.

Phase three for Ather is establishing a third mega factory on a 100 acre land with an independent production capacity of 10 lakh units annually. It’s currently in discussion with multiple state governments like Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat and Karnataka to kickstart the ambitious plan.

Fourteen lakh units annually is no small task and is certainly ambitious.
