Bajaj Auto has huge expansion plans this year

The top second bike manufacturing brand in India, Bajaj Auto has major expansion plans this year by launching various new models and enhancing the production capacity at all of its manufacturing plants: Waluj (Auragabad), Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) and Chakan (Pune). “we are planning to raise its production capacity, which is 2.75 lacs at present and company is looking forward to hit the number 3 lacs by upcoming quarter in order to fulfil the increasing demand of Bajaj bikes” company's CEO S Sridhar said. At present the company has possessed the 17 percent stake of two wheeler market in India, now the company is expecting to expand it by another 5-6 percent. This year Bajaj has the annual target of selling 40 lac vehicles as against 36 lacs of previous financial year, in which major contribution will be of Bajaj Auto's dominating brands Pulsar and Discover. The company has just shocked everyone by launching a brand new variant of Discover in 150cc segment named Bajaj Discover 150cc with the price tag of 46,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is going to help the company to convert its target of the year into reality, the company is expecting to sell 30 to 35,000 units of all new Bajaj Discover 150cc in the upcoming financial year.One more positive spirit behind the expansion plans of Bajaj Auto is its record export sales that marked 60,000 units and this year company is looking to make it 80,000, furthermore the company's official said to project couple of more models in the upcoming months yet the company has not disclosed the names. On the other hand, other major players like Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha are planning to bang with their respective new models, Suzuki is planning to release Suzuki Zeus, Honda to its Honda CB Dazzler and Yamaha to unveil Yamaha YZF R125 very soon in the market.
