BMW Motorrad commences the sale, service and spares retail operations through Bavaria Motors in Pune
BMW Motorrad has officially started its operations in the country as a part of the Indian subsidiary of BMW Group and has appointed Bavaria Motors as its dealer partner in Pune.showroom is located at Suyog Platinum Towers, Naylor Road, Next to Hotel Conrad and the aftersales service facility is provided at Hadapsar Industrial Estate in Pune. BMW motorcycles were earlier sold through imports made by a few dealers in the country. This also resulted in the high prices of the motorcycles. BMW currently aims at increasing their dealership network in the country. Mr. Shivapada Ray has been appointed as the head of BMW Motorrad in India. Initially BMW has four cities targeted for the dealership launch – Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. Except Ahmedabad, BMW now has its dealerships in the other three cities.
The company currently has 11 motorcycles on offer which will make their way to the Indian dealerships through the CBU route.
