Looks like modernised Perak, but is cheaper by over Rs 2,000
Just a day after the spy shot of Classic Legend’s new bobber surfaced on the internet, the company has launched the bike. Christened the Jawa 42 Bobber, it has been priced at Rs 2,06,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 2657 more affordable than its sibling, the Perak.
The Jawa 42 Bobber has a bunch of changes compared to the Perak. For starters, it gets a compact LED headlight complete with a new instrument console and an updated handlebar as well.
This is complemented by a muscular tank with knee recesses, an all-new seat, which interestingly can be moved back up to 25mm. This change also included repositioning the taillight and indicators. The substantial change here is the forward-set footpegs, which coupled with the new seat and handlebar, should translate to a comfortable riding posture for taller riders too.

The Jawa 42 Bobber is powered by the same 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine from the Perak and makes 30.64PS and 32.74Nm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox. This new bobber also borrows the suspension and braking hardware from the Perak, however, Jawa claims the monoshock has been retuned for the 42 Bobber.
Jawa has priced the Mystic Copper colour at Rs 2,06,500 while the Moonstone White and Japer Red have been priced at Rs 2,07,500 and 2,09,187 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). The 42 Bobber goes up against the likes of the Keeway V302C, Yezdi Roadster, Honda H’Ness CB350 and the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
