This BSA Gold Star 650-based prototype looks ready to hit the trails
British bikemaker BSA has unveiled a new scrambler-styled concept bike at the Motorcycle Live Show in Birmingham, UK.
What’s evident up front is that the bike looks every bit a scrambler, and the bike has been simply named as the ‘Scrambler’ too. The offset instrument console, flat seat, high front fender, long travel suspension, bash plate and Scorpion Rally STR tyres give it an authentic scrambler look. That said, BSA has decided to give the bike a lower, dual-exit exhaust system instead of a traditional upswept one.
The bike features a telescopic fork with long travel, dual shocks and what seems to be a 19- and 18-inch wire-spoke wheel setup. It gets a disc brake at both ends. Its heart is the 652cc single-cylinder mill, one that we’ve previously seen on the BSA Gold Star.
As gorgeous as it looks, BSA hasn’t revealed details about this scrambler’s launch, availability or pricing. It could be launched globally later next year, and could be brought to India after the upcoming BSA Gold Star. It’ll then be the perfect rival to the upcoming Royal Enfield Scrambler 650.
