Ducati to spread wings across India

Italian Motorcycle Maker, Ducati after the announcement of Ducati Diavel and Ducati Monster for Indian market, is now going to spread its wings pan India. According to sources, the company is planning to spread its dealership network in major cities of India. Ducati Motorcycle is the word's major two wheeler maker.

After the entry of other major international bike companies like Harley Davidson, KTM, Aprilia, Piaggio - Ducati Motorcycle had also introduced a few bikes from its world fame bike range, it's now ready to bring more bikes next year.

Ducati Diavel and Ducati Monster are flagship models of the company that are slated to introduce in India in the month of April, 2011. Recently the company has launched a diamond black coloured variant of Diavel, at an international Auto Show, which is very attracting onlookers.

The Ducati Diavel is a one seater bike that is loaded with BiTurbo, V6 valvetrain, DOHC, 3 Valves engine while displacement of the bike is 2491cc that generate maximum power of 185 bhp at 5500 rpm and top torque of 221 ft lbs at 3000 rpm. The bike will be bigger than Yamaha V-Max, in terms of engine cc, which is the highest engine loaded motorcycle in India.

While the Ducati Monster will be equipped with  L-Twin cylinder, 2 valve per cylinder Desmodromic, air cooled engine with displacement of 803cc. This powerful engine of the bike generates top power of  64kW - 87hp at 8250rpm and maximum torque of  8.0kgm - 58lb-ft at 6250rpm. In terms of power, it will compete with Suzuki GSXR 1000 and Honda Interceptor(upcoming).
At present, Ducati India in its portfolio includes Ducati Superbike, Ducati Streetfighter, Ducati Sports Classic and Ducati Hypermotard bikes series.
