Firefox to come up with Rs 2.4 lac bike at Auto Expo

A high-end bicycle model Trek Equinox TTX 9.8 SSL from Firefox is all set to make its debut at the Delhi Auto Expo next year. The bicycle model will come at the price tag of Rs. 2.4 lac in India that is equivalent to the price of two Tata Nano cars put together. The cycles are meant for hi-end bikers, Equinox TTX 9.8 SSL is customized for professional riders and is made up of carbon and rare alloys. All the bikes will be imported from the US and will be available in four different sizes. Firefox Bikes MD Shiv Inder Singh said, "In tandem with the Auto Expo 2010 eco-friendly theme, Firefox will display its extensive collection of bikes and cycling accessories this year to woo budding cyclists." Earlier the company had announced plans to launch fifteen new models by March 2010, besides opening 20 new outlets across the country. It currently sells around 50 models in India. The newly launched bikes in India are EKO Bikes.
