After many rumours and unconfirmed reports, the upcoming Triumph 765 has been spotted testing for the first time. The bike was seen undergoing final road testing outside Triumph’s test facility in Spain.
It has been a couple of months now that we started hearing something or the other continuously about the upcoming Triumph Street Triple 756, despite the lack of any visual evidence. Now, for the first time ever, the bike has been captured clearly in pictures outside Triumph’s test facility in Spain. The bike is looking production-ready and is seen here undergoing final road testing.
The pictures are so clear that we can see most of the details. First off, there are huge cosmetic changes to the bike compared to the existing Triumph Street Triple 675. The most important bit on the popular British naked middleweight, though, is the bigger engine with an extra 90cc of capacity. The altered version of the inline three-cylinder motor, which currently makes 96PS in the UK spec model, is expected to produce more than 110bhp in its new guise.
Other major changes to the upcoming Triumph Street Triple 765 include a new swingarm and updated brakes, while the twin lights and ram air scoop from the Speed Triple 1050 have been retained. In the R model, we can expect radially-mounted calipers from Brembo for better braking.
The Street Triple 765, along with its three other variants, can be expected to launch later this year and go on sale in early 2017. The price of the bike could be kept between £8000 (around INR 7.9 lakh) and £10,000 (around INR 9.88 lakh) for the ‘R’ version which has been captured in the pictures.
