In a bid to promote electric mobility across India, Hero Electric has announced the expansion of its dealer network across the eastern and central part of the country. The company plans to inaugurate a total of 15 new dealerships in the next two months alone. For reference, the company has over 600 touchpoints throughout the country already. Going forward the company plans to open over 1500 touchpoints in the next two years alone!
Going ahead, Hero Electric certainly has a big battle to fight, especially considering emerging competition in the form of Ather Energy and the Kymco-22 Motors joint venture. That said, considering its massive dealer and service network -- and the fact that it has such aggressive expansion plans -- we still think Hero Electric will have the upper hand for now.
