The BS6 scooters now cost Rs 3,400 to Rs 4,510 over its fuel-injected BS4 predecessors
- The new Destini 125 BS6 gets fuel injection, new colour and a price hike of Rs 4,510.
- Maestro Edge 125 BS6 gets a new colour, price hike of Rs 3,380 over BS4 FI model.
- Both BS6 scooters now make more torque.
The Hero Destini 125 BS6 and Maestro Edge 125 BS6 have been launched. Both scooters are now BS6 compliant. While the Maestro Edge 125 was available with a fuel-injected motor before, the Destini 125 now gets fuel injection. The prices for both new scooters are listed below.
Compared to the BS4 Maestro Edge 125’s fuel injected motor, power on the BS6 iteration has dropped while torque has gone up. The updated BS6 124.6cc motor makes 9.12PS and 10.4Nm which is a drop of 0.12PS and an increase of 0.2Nm. Peak torque though comes 500rpm higher on the BS6 model.

Other than the BS6 compliant motor, the scooters receive cosmetic updates. The Destini 125 gets LED DRL’s, chrome 3D logo and a new paint scheme called Matte Grey Silver. The Maestro Edge 125 BS6 retains the same bodywork but now gets a new Prismatic Purple paint scheme.
Price-wise, the Hero Destini 125 BS6 competes with 110cc BS6 scooters like the Honda Activa 6G and TVS Jupiter. The more premium Hero Maestro Edge 125 competes with the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 and Yamaha Fascino 125.
