But don’t worry, the premium isn’t all that substantial
Honda India has just increased the price of Honda Shine, its best-selling 125cc motorcycle. Thankfully, the premium is fairly marginal. Take a look at the variant-wise ex-showroom (Delhi) price list:
In April 2021, Honda managed to sell 70,416 units of the Shine, which is a whole 23,848 units more than the Hero Super Splendor and the Hero Glamour put together! The Honda Shine’s neutral styling, refined and fuel efficient engine, and bulletproof build quality has helped it register consistently high sales numbers in its segment.
If you’re looking for other 125cc offerings in the same price bracket, then you can take a look at the base variant of the Super Splendor that costs Rs 71,100. And instead of the disc brake variant of the Shine, you may also go for the disc brake variant of the Glamour , which retails at Rs 76,700. That said, both the Super Splendor and the Glamour do not get silent start like the Shine. Finally, another sportier-looking alternative would be the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
