Apart from the small-capacity adventure scooter, Honda might unveil new models at Thursday’s press conference as well
- ADV 150 is the second adventure scooter in Honda’s international model lineup.
- It features an all-digital instrument cluster.
- The ADV 150 is equipped with a telescopic fork and rear dual shock absorbers.
Of all the products that Honda has in its international portfolio, the X-ADV scooter is one of the quirkiest. It is set to be joined by a smaller sibling now. Honda has just taken the wraps off of another adventure scooter at the ongoing 2019 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Meet the ADV 150.
The new adventure scooter follows the same design philosophy as its bigger cousin, with the front dominated by a massive windscreen. However, the headlamp design has been tweaked. The chrome panels seen on the X-ADV have been replaced by black plastic panels to make more appealing to the cost-conscious buyer.
Powering this scooter is a 149.3cc SOHC single-cylinder engine with Idling Stop System. It produces 14.5PS at 8500rpm and 13.8Nm at 6500rpm. While the X-ADV features USD fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear, the baby ADV is equipped with a telescopic fork up front and dual shock absorbers from Showa at the rear. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS is a standard fitment.
