A month back, Honda launched its highly awaited Honda CBR650F in a grand event “Honda Revfest” in the presence of its brand ambassador Akshay Kumar and Tapsee Pannu. During the event, the company also revealed its upcoming Hornet 160R. Earlier, we reported that the company will launch Hornet 160R in coming months and recently we got to know about the power output of the bike.

Since its first appearance, the company has showcased the bike many times but never revealed its specification. We already know that the company will launch the Hornet 160R with same 162.71 cc air cooled engine from its sibling Honda Unicorn, but we could expect the higher power output, which could be justified with “R” tag.

According to the BikeAdvice, who had the conversation with Honda’s Senior Vice President, YS Guleria during the SIAM Annual Convention 2015, the bike will be producing the same 14.5 bhp of power, however, not sure whether it will generate similar torque or not. He also confirmed that the bike will be launched sometime this year.
We already know that the Hornet 160R will be available with two versions, i.e. single tone and dual tone colour scheme along with petal disc brakes at both front and rear. Considering the very little changes in the mechanics, Honda should price the Hornet 160R under INR 80,000 ex-showroom.
