The Husqvarna Vitpilen 125 will be the entry-level cafe racer from the Swedish brand
Earlier this month, Husqvarna entered the 125cc motorcycle segment with the Svartpilen 125. So, it makes sense for the Swedish manufacturer to bring in the Vitpilen 125 as well. While not much is known about the bike at the moment, here’s what we can expect from the new baby Husky:
Considering Husqvarna already has the know-how of the motor from the KTM family, the Vitpilen 125 will borrow the 125 Duke’s engine. It’s a 124cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder mill rated at 14.95PS and 12Nm. The frame will likely be similar to the one used by its elder sibling, the Vitpilen 250.
On the design front, expect the Vitpilen 125 to get clip-on handles as well as a flat fuel tank and seat. We’ve already seen these bits on the Vitpilen 250 and the internationally sold Vitpilen 401. While the Indian version of the Husky 250s sits on alloy wheels, the Vitpilen 125 will likely start-off with spoked wheels in the European market.

As far as underpinnings are concerned, Husqvarna could equip the 125cc cafe racer with a chunky 43mm USD fork and a monoshock, both from WP. The braking hardware is likely to comprise a 320mm front disc with a radially mounted ByBre calliper, with single-channel ABS.
It will be a while before Husqvarna unveils the Vitpilen 125, probably by late-2021 in the European market. And yes, we expect KTM to bring it to Indian shores knowing it will eventually be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan facility.
