The two motorcycles have almost reached the Rs 2 lakh mark now
Husqvarna has hiked the prices of both Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250 for the second time this year. Take a look at the latest ex-showroom-Delhi price list here:
That’s a huge jump in price for what’s essentially the same bike. Sure, the Husqvarna twins cater to a niche segment, but at the end of the day, India is still a price-sensitive market. But the silver lining is that these bikes are still a lot less expensive than its Austrian sibling, the KTM 250 Duke. After the recent price hike, the quarter-litre Duke retails at Rs Rs 2,21,632 (ex-showroom Delhi). So if you want something with the performance of the 250 Duke yet more affordable and that looks like a million bucks, then the Svartpilen or the Vitpilen 250 are your go-to bikes.

In a related development, Husqvarna is likely to make its range more affordable with the Svartpilen 201 soon. The motorcycle was spotted testing in India and we expect it to be launched some time this year once the pandemic stabilises.
