Kawasaki Versys 1000 and ER-6n coming soon to India

The Japanese auto giant has decided to show its strong solo existence in India. First, the company launched Ninja ZX-14R and ZX-10R together in India in September, and just after 3 months it launched Z1000 and Ninja 1000 in December. Following these launches, Z800 is coming to India in January and the company will not stop the launches here. After Z800, the company is expected to bring adventure bike, Versys 1000 and ER-6n, naked version of the Ninja 650R, which is already available in India.

Kawasaki Versys 1000 is speculated to be showcased in India between January to June, 2014. The dual purpose bike sports a 1,043cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, inline four with 4-valves per head. Mated with a six-speed gearbox, it is capable to churn out a maximum power of 118bhp @9,000rpm and a peak torque of 102Nm @7,700rpm. It boasts a semi faired twin-tube frame, which makes it durable on tough terrains. The bike features 43mm inverted front forks, while horizontal mounted back-link suspension at the rear.

Naked Sport Kawasaki ER-6n shares all of the technology equipped in the Ninja 650R including frame, engine, suspensions, etc and expected to arrive in India in July, 2014. It comes with a 649cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valves per head, parallel twin, which delivers 72bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The bike boasts 41mm front forks and pre-load adjustable single shock with aluminium swing-arm at the rear. The front wheel has got 300mm dual petal disc brakes, while the rear wheel comes equipped with 220mm petal Disc.

Currently, Kawasaki already has 6 bikes in its Indian product portfolio. After these launches, the range will increase to benefit the Indian buyers with more options.
