Every bike enthusiast has a dream to own a true racing bike and Austrian bike maker KTM has turned it into reality by launching world’s first ever ‘Ready to Race’ production bike-KTM 250GPR. The bike has been heavily inspired from KTM Moto3 Racer (Sandro Cortese’s world championship winning machine) and also has some designing traits from KTM bike RC8. The Production KTM 250GPR is very close to the Moto3Racer, but is a production bike. The production racer comes equipped with special Moto3 250cc engine, which revs to 13,500rpm and belts out impressive power output of 49PS. The bike uses RC8R electronics, Akrapovic exhaust, Brembo brakes and OZ forged aluminum wheels.
As far the looks are concerned, the production 250GPR also looks like Moto3Racer and have been embodied with amazing lines and killer curves. The bike is truly a state-of-the-art GP machine with its chassis and suspension totally adjustable, souped up with electronic tidbits like traction control, pit lane limiter etc, this pacer is one for the track. With a 49PS power, bike weighs only 85 Kg, which helps in an impressive power to weight ratio and that is why the bike can boasts impressive top speed of 209 kmph. It is true that 250GPR is a production racer but the bike performs well on streets as well. The KTM 250GPR is priced around £45,000 (INR 39 lakhs approx) in the UK and it will be made available by February, 2013
