Mahindra, BMW or Volkswagen may buy Ducati

Ducati, the world famous Italian bike making company is on sale. The company is planning to sell away all the stake, and are looking for good buyers. Investindustrial Holdings, the present owner of this Ducati company is willing to sell the company stake under Ducati Motor Holding SpA, at cost of 1 billion Euros (approximateley 6,500 crores in Indian rupees). If the deal strikes then Investindustrial Holding will earn three times of their initial investmeent. According to some news, there are three prominent buyers who are showing their intrest in buying this company. The prominent buyer are Mahindra and Mahindra India-based company, BMW, and Volkswagen. One of these three companies might acquire this Italian company.

Investindustrial was making confrontations, with Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, for including them in Hong Kong public listings, but later went with the decision to sell the entire stake to one group. Investindustrial group was removed from Milan stock-exchange when this Investindustrial group bought complete stake of Ducati in December 2008.

Ducati market share is increased from 8.5% to 10.7% in global premium motor cycles. This Italian company sold about 40,000 vehicles across the world. Ducati motorcycles are owned by celebrities like Prince William, Tom cruise, and Brad Pitt. Another well-known fan follower of this bike was Volkswagen Chairman, who personally owns one of these bikes and seems totally in love with riding it, but he still regrets that Volkswagen din't acquire this company when it was offered for peanuts. According to top oficials of Investindustrial Holdings they are looking for a perfect partner for the perfect company, to steady this company towards new heights of growth, which is not possible without the support of a world class partner and they are hoping to find one this year.
