The answer may not be what you think
From grocery sprints to chauffeuring your family members around the town, the scooters are the most easiest and fun vehicles. In fact, we enjoyed them so much that we even took them to a track for smashing some serious lap times. But these scooters aren’t going to be spending much time on track, are they?
The biggest advantage scooters have over motorcycles is the comfort they offer. With ample floorboard space, the scooter can be a perfect everyday hustler around the town.
The Burgman winning the test was an absolute no-brainer. The maxi-scooter style footboard meant that the rider can comfortably sit despite having a suitcase on the floorboard, followed by its somber cousin, the Access 125.
To check how pliant the suspension of these scooters are on some of the marvelous roads of the town, we decided to find that out in the most Indian way possible, with a water spill test, and the results were certainly unexpected.
Surprisingly, the NTorq 125 tops the leaderboard in this test, despite being stiffly sprung. The Burgman and the Access 125, on the other hand, were comfortable, thanks to the spacious seats, however, the soft setup meant the pillion ended up tossing in the air on rough roads.
As for the Aprilia Storm 125, the Vee rubber could handle all types of terrain, but the suspension being on the softer side meant that it ended up scoring just above its sibling, the Vespa Racing Sixties.
Scooters have always been a great option for grocery sprints and in this mega comparo, in no way, we were going to miss testing that. Check it out here.
