Quick News Highlights:

- Comes with basic features to keep costs in check.
- Gets the semi-digital instrument cluster from Super Meteor 650, but doesn’t get the tripper navigation pod.
- The rotary dial switchgear looks similar to the Himalayan 450.

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 was recently teased by the legendary Isle Of Man rider, Guy Martin, ahead of its launch on July 17. The upcoming 450cc roadster will compete with the Triumph Speed 400, but it may undercut the Triumph with a cheaper introductory price.

Why We Think So?

The upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 comes with a straightforward roadster design and gets simple and minimalistic body panels. At the front, it is inspired by the smaller Royal Enfield Hunter 350’s design while the rear looks similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

The teaser suggests that the Guerrilla 450 features the same semi-digital instrument console as the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. Still, without the tripper navigation pod, it may get connectivity features as optional. Moreover, it may not get any riding modes. The switchgear looks similar to the one on the Himalayan 450 and comes with a rotary dial.

Additionally, the 450cc roadster comes with Ceat Gripp XL tyres from the Himalayan 411, but with a different size, likely to be 17-inch on both ends. Another important bit to note is that it gets a telescopic fork with fork gaiters as compared to the inverted ones on the Himalayan 450 and Speed 400, which should further bring the price down.

What We Know About The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 So Far?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450  borrows the 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Sherpa engine from the Himalayan 450, which delivers 40PS and 40Nm. But expect it to be tuned differently to match the 450cc roadster’s nature.

Underpinnings include a telescopic fork with fork gaiters (as mentioned earlier) and a monoshock. The exact specs for the brakes have not been revealed yet, but the roadster will be equipped with disc brakes on both ends, with dual-channel ABS.

Expected Price & Rivals

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.20 lakh, at least as the introductory price, making it cheaper than the Triumph Speed 400, which costs Rs 2,34,497 (ex-showroom). However, Royal Enfield may provide a range of colour options with different price tags as well.

It will rival the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, and the QJ Motor SRC 500.
