Suzuki to Sell Both Old and New Access 125

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) will continue to sell their previous generation Access 125 alongside the all new Access 125. The 2016 Access 125 was launched recently with a price tag of Rs. 59,123 (on-road, Delhi), costing an additional Rs. 2,175 over the previous model. The company will do so considering stock clearance needed for the older Access 125.
Unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, the all new Access 125 gets some updates which includes a larger under seat storage, improved mileage, larger floorboard, front pocket, optional DC socket, Suzuki Easy Start System, multi-functional instrument cluster with a digital display having two trip meters and an optional front disc brake. The new Access is also 10 kilograms lighter and claims to have improved fuel efficiency by 20%.
Suzuki has given the new Access an updated 125cc engine that produces a healthy 8.6bhp at 7,500rpm with a peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. It comes in 5 colors - Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Candy Sonoma Red, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matt Fibroin Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.
At the launch event, Mr. Kenji Hirozawa, Vice President - Sales & Marketing, SMIPL was quoted saying, "The new Suzuki Access 125 is our flagship scooter. Equipped with our revolutionary SEP technology, it combines the best of both worlds – power and mileage. The bike has been completely re-designed from the ground-up. The cosmetic upgrades with added best-in-class features shall make it more appealing. There are also significant improvements done to the engine thus delivering a better ownership experience. This launch reflects our understanding of the Indian customer and their needs. The new Access 125 will be the manifestation of our efforts to cater to the same.”
