After launching the quarter-litre Svartpilen and Vitpilen in India at 1.8 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), Husqvarna has shifted its focus to its dealership network. The Swedish brand has inaugurated three dealerships in East and South Mumbai along with a third showroom in Goregaon. All three dealerships have been remodeled to accommodate the two bikes with the Husqvarna branding.
Official bookings for the bikes have commenced for a token amount ranging between Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000, depending on the dealership. Both bikes comply with BS6 emission norms and pack a 248.76cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.
This motor is tuned to produce 30PS of power and 24Nm of peak torque, just like the 250 Duke. Working alongside the motor is a 6-speed transmission aided by a slipper clutch. In terms of underpinnings, both bikes use a trellis frame, an upside down fork, and a monoshock. Its braking setup includes disc brakes at both ends paired with dual-channel ABS.
Husqvarna will spread its wings over a number of cities in the coming months, and we’ll be sure to let you know when it does.
