Triumph Launches the Street Twin at Rs. 6.9 Lac at Delhi Auto Expo

Triumph has launched its most affordable offering in India, Street Twin, which is a new model in the iconic Bonneville range. The retro classic motorcycle has been priced at Rs. 6.9 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it will be sold alongside the other Bonneville models. The bike has a new styling with some extra premium features like dual tone paint scheme, all black theme, compact headlight and indicators along with LED tail lamp, upswept brushed stainless steel exhausts and more.
Bolted on a tubular steel double cradle frame, the new Triumph Street Twin gets a Kayaba suspension set-up comprising of 41mm front telescopic forks and twin shocks with adjustable preload at the rear. Finished in black, both the alloy wheels of the bike have been equipped with a disc brake and this bike also features Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
Powering the Street Twin is an all new 900cc, 8-valve, parallel twin ‘high torque’ engine that comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch. The new motor delivers 18 percent more peak torque that is now 80Nm that comes at just 3,200rpm. Apart from these internal upgrades, the engine gets some external upgrades as well like Ride-by-wire technology and traction control.
The company is also offering three custom kits with the bike so that the riders can customize his machine as per their requirements.
