The 2020 TVS Apache RR 310 will get more than just a BS6 engine!
[Update: TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 Launched, Gets Rider Modes!]
- The updated Apache RR 310 will get new dual-tone paint options, a new colour TFT screen, and navigation buttons.
- BS6 updates may affect the performance of the 312cc motor.
- Expect a substantial price hike.
TVS Motors is all set to launch the BS6 Apache RR 310 tomorrow. While a BS6 compliant engine is the most obvious update, TVS will be throwing in a couple of extra goodies to sweeten the deal. This includes cosmetic updates and better features compared to the BS4 model.
For starters, the bike will feature a rectangular-ish full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation buttons on the left-hand side switchgear. Thanks to this, we could expect a host of new features that we first saw on the recently BS6 RTR 200 4V. You also have dual-tone colour schemes to bring the bike to life.
Cosmetics and features aside, the bike will continue to be powered by a 312.2cc BS6-compliant engine which will hopefully put out the same power figures as before, if not better. For reference, the current-gen RR 310 puts out 34PS and 27.3Nm.
Other changes come in the form of new tyres. The test bike featured new rubber, which we believe is from TVS itself. The current-gen RR 310, on the other hand, uses Michelin Pilot Street radials.
Expect these updates to extract a premium of around Rs 15,000 over the current model, which retails at Rs 2.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Once launched, the BS6-compliant TVS Apache RR 310 will go up against the likes of the yet-to-be-updated KTM RC 390.
