The two old-school Apaches seem to be losing their value with each price hike
- TVS Apache RTR 160 2V is dearer by Rs 2,000.
- Whereas the TVS Apache RTR 180 is now more expensive by Rs 2,500.
- Apart from the added premium, there have been no cosmetic or mechanical changes.
The prices of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and the TVS Apache RTR 180 have gone up. The two motorcycles were once known to be value-for-money offerings but due to rising costs and tighter emissions, they seem to have lost their value. The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, in particular, has touched the Rs 1 lakh barrier. Here’s the latest price list along with the differences:
All prices ex-showroom, Delhi
When the BS6-compliant version of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V was launched back in January 2020, it cost Rs 93,500 for the rear drum brake-equipped variant and Rs 96,500 for the rear disc brake equipped version. On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 180 BS6 was launched in March 2020 and this is its first price hike.
Other than the added premium, the mechanicals and cosmetic features of the bikes have remained unchanged. The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V goes up against the Bajaj Pulsar 150 (Rs 96,960), Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc (Rs 1,00,838) and Honda Unicorn BS6 (Rs 93,593). The TVS Apache RTR 180 goes head-to-head with Bajaj Pulsar 180F Neon, priced at Rs 1,10,330.
