After TVS Motors unveiled its Draken concept at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi, there has been a huge amount of curiosity regarding the bike’s official entry to the Indian market. Recently, we came to know through some sources that the 200cc of TVS Apache RTR might be launched around this Diwali, which is the best and auspicious occasion for buying vehicles as per the Indian traditions.
TVS Apache RTR 200 will hopefully come loaded with an air-cooled engine that will churn out power somewhere around 20bhp. The body design and styling will be inspired from the RTR 180 with some edges and curves taken from the Draken concept. Like its younger sibling, this one might also offer ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as an optional feature.
However, there is not any confirmation from the company regarding this presently, nor any test mule of the bike has been spotted anywhere. TVS Apache RTR 200 will rival against the two tough street fighting machines available in India viz. Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS and KTM Duke 200. Coming to the price, the bike will supposedly be priced under Rs. 1 lac (ex-showroom price) and hence can prove a value for money and worthy option for the youth.
