The camp focused on fixing issues with the bike such as vibrations and throttle lag
TVS recently conducted a special service camp for TVS Apache RTR 310 owners in Bengaluru, called the Carecraft camp, held on June 8 and 9, 2024. The camp focused on fixing issues that have plagued the bike such as vibrations, throttle lag and even some things related to the quickshifter.
This news was first broken by an online forum user who had issues with his TVS Apache RTR 310 and his complaints were centered around the issues of vibrations being felt at the handlebars and rider seat along with delayed throttle response and quickshifter malfunctions.
We had a similar experience with vibrations especially when riding at highway speeds. Even short trips down the highway left us with buzzing hands. The bike also had issues with vibrations being felt at the rider’s seat which were quite annoying.
The user reported that TVS fixed both issues by adding heavier bar-end weights and also changing the seat cushions below the rider seat. The new seat cushions have better fit and hardness specifications making it more resilient. Another issue for the forum user’s bike was the throttle lag, which was fixed with a simple software update to the ECU. The new update also improves the throttle response overall.
As far as the quickshifter troubles were concerned, the manufacturer removed the aftermarket knuckle guards that were added by the owner as they were pressing against the clutch lever, making the quickshifter malfunction. After removing them, the quickshifter’s wiring was also rerouted.
Other than these changes, the service camp didn’t make any alterations to the bike’s performance. The TVS Apache RTR 310 is still powered by a 312.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 35.6PS and 28.7Nm.
This service camp was held for TVS owners in Bengaluru. The brand hasn’t said anything about the camp or if similar ones could be launched in other cities. But if the responses to this one are good, it is likely that they will conduct similar ones in other cities as well.
