The iQube Electric is currently available only in Bengaluru
TVS forayed into the electric scooter space with the iQube, it's first proper go at an EV. The iQube is fast, practical, feature-rich, and fits in with the current fray of ICE-powered scooters. The brand intends to use the iQube to lay the groundwork for its upcoming e-scooters. While the scooter itself is pretty impressive, TVS still needs to work on certain aspects, especially its dealership reach. The iQube is currently available only in Bengaluru for an on-road price of Rs 1.15 lakh (Bengaluru). That said, the company aims to expand its network in the coming months.
TVS plans to learn from customers and their needs in Bengaluru before stepping foot into other cities. The company has already set up 10 charging stations at dealerships across Bengaluru. This template will be used in all subsequent cities.

It’ll enter the first two cities -- likely to be Trivandrum and Chennai -- by mid-2020. This will be followed by Pune, Hyderabad, and Delhi (no specific order). Cities in the south are most likely to receive their dealerships first because it’s easier for TVS to belt out scooters from its manufacturing plant based in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and ship it out to these cities.

With respect to charging, TVS offers the iQube with a home charging station, which includes a charging cable with an industrial connector. The cable also features an adaptor, which converts the power end of the cable to a regular 5A socket. Mind you, the home charging unit is available for free for a limited period only. The two-wheeler brand will soon start charging for the setup, which will set you back by around Rs 7,000, plus installation charges of Rs 2,400.
