Planning to buy an Apache RR 310? Well, you’ll need to shell out a bit more now
- The top-end Apache is now Rs 4,243 more expensive than before.
- Even the RTR 160 4V and the RTR 200 4V have received a minor price hike.
- The Apache RR 310 is still Rs 26,000 more affordable than its rival, the KTM RC 390.
If you are planning to buy the TVS Apache RR 310, we have some bad news for you. The Chennai-based bikemaker has increased the price of its range-topping motorcycle by Rs 4,243. After this price hike, the Apache RR 310 now costs Rs 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
Not just the RR 310, but TVS’ entire lineup including the Apache range has been affected by this price hike. However, while the RTR 160 4V and the RTR 200 4V have received a hike of just Rs 328 and Rs 748 respectively, the RR 310’s price hike is rather steep. According to TVS dealers, this is an annual price revision done by the company, but there’s no confirmation from TVS yet. The TVS Apache RR 310 hasn’t been performing as well as the bikemaker would have expected. In fact, it sold just 279 units of its top-of-the-line motorcycle in the month of March.
The Apache RR 310 is powered by a 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that produces 34PS at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm, coupled to a six-speed gearbox. This price hike comes a little over a month after TVS had asked owners to get their motorcycles updated at authorised service centres for free.
As part of the update, the ECU was re-mapped for better performance. To keep vibrations in check, TVS also added piping around the edges of the windscreen and new bar-end weights. As far as rivals are concerned, the Apache RR 310 goes up against the KTM RC 390, which is priced at Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
