TVS Scooty Pep Plus Matte Edition Launched

Priced at Rs 44,764, the matte edition commands a premium of Rs 1500 over the standard version

TVS Motors has launched the Scooty Pep Plus in two new colours: Coral Matte and Aqua Matte. Priced at Rs 44,764 (ex-showroom Delhi), the matte edition commands a premium of Rs 1,500 over the standard version. Thanks to this, interested customers can now choose from nine shades including the newly launched colour schemes. 

The updates aren’t just limited to the paint schemes. The scooter gets new 3D logos, subtle graphics updates and a premium textured seat which gels well with the overall look. Aside from this, the scooter remains unchanged and retains the exact same mechanicals. 

It’s powered by the same 87.8cc Ecothrust motor that makes 5PS at 6,500rpm and 5.8Nm at 4,000rpm. What makes the little scooter so special is its feature list which comprises of an LED DRL positioned on the front apron, under-seat storage hooks, a mobile charging socket, an open glovebox, side stand alarm and TVS’ patented Eazy centre stand which claims to reduce effort by 30 per cent. 

The TVS Scooty Pep Plus competes against the Hero Pleasure (Rs 47,600) and the Honda Activa-i priced at Rs 51,254 (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). On a slightly different note, TVS also launched the 2019 NTorq 125 which gets a couple of cosmetic updates to keep it in fighting shape. And that’s not all, the upcoming Apache RTR 200 4V will also get an updated instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity paired with TVS’ SmartXonnect tech.
