KTM Duke 390:

At EICMA KTM Duke 1290 concept shined the most at KTM stand, however we were more interested in KTM Duke 690 and KTM Duke 390. The all three orange monsters were creating sensations throughout the event and we will soon see one of them in Indian streets, yes, as we reported earlier Duke 390 will soon be launched in India, most probably in first half. As far as the looks are concerned, the Duke 390 resembles to Duke 200 and Duke 125. The entire design of the bike has been kept similar to that of Duke 200, while the chassis is inspired by the Duke 125. By using the chassis design of the Duke 125, KTM engineers have fixed the way bigger 375cc engine of Duke 390 in the same frame of Duke 200. The graphics of the bike are also almost similar to the Duke 200. There are some changes have also been incorporated, biggest of them is 373.2cc single cylinder-liquid cooled engine, which belts out a peak power of 43bhp at 9,250 rpm with the peak torque of 35Nm coming in at 7,250 rpm. The bike weighs 139kg only, which returns a very good power to weight ratio and thus the bike can attain a maximum speed about 160kmph easily. The bike will be placed in middle-weight bike segment and likely to compete with Kawasaki Ninja 250R and upcoming Ninja 300R.
