All the two-wheeler action that transpired during this week under one roof
India may be on lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that won’t stop us from bringing you your weekly dose of two-wheeler updates. From updated BS6 two-wheelers to electric mopeds, here are the top five new stories that made headlines this week.
1.Bajaj BS6 Range Launched:
Bajaj Auto seems to be abiding by the BS6 deadline by updating pretty much its entire portfolio. Interestingly, the majority of the bikes have gained some performance rather than losing it. According to Bajaj, the BS6 Avenger Street 220’s launch has been delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown in India.
Here’s a list of all the BS6 models that have been launched this week:
Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220, Avenger Street 160 BS6
2. TVS Sport BS6
TVS Motors has successfully completed its BS6 transition with the launch of the 2020 TVS Sport. The bike features a new 109.7cc engine with fuel-injection and a larger cat-con which come together to offer a better fuel efficiency (claimed). Here’s how much more you need to shell out for the updated model.
3. Bullet 350 BS6 launched, Royal Enfield Meteor 350
Royal Enfield aims to make a comeback with its new model range, one of which has already been spotted testing in India. It also launched the BS6 Bullet 350, thereby completing its BS6 portfolio, the first two-wheeler manufacturer to do so.
4. Xiaomi A1 Electric Moped
Xiaomi’s known to come up with some unique products, and the most recent ones to make their presence felt are two electric mini mopeds: the A1 and A1 Pro. The A1 packs a 768Wh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a range of 60km while the slightly more premium model, the A1 Pro, packs a larger 960Wh battery, offering it 70km of range. More details available here.
5. Suzuki GSX-R150 MotoGP Livery:
Suzuki took the wraps off its international-spec GSX-R150 and GSX-R125 models adorning unique MotoGP liveries for 2020. It’s essentially got graphics similar to Suzuki’s factory bikes in the 2020 MotoGP season. We won’t be surprised if the new paint scheme makes its way on the India-spec Gixxer 150 BS6 and Gixxer 250 BS6.
