Design-wise, the new spied prototype looks awfully similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan
- Both bikes are likely to be powered by the same 293cc engine seen on the Jawa and Jawa 42.
- The Roadking looks near-production ready with a finished exhaust, tail light, and raised front fender.
- The ADV seems to be properly equipped to handle off-roading and touring.
- Expect Yezdi to launch these bikes early next year.
The first sightings of the Yezdi Roadking date back to March this year. The prototype has been spied testing yet again, but this time, looks like it’s in the final stages of development. Interestingly, there’s another bike riding alongside, which appears to be an ADV from Yezdi, perhaps a direct rival to the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Starting with the engine. Both bikes are likely to be powered by the same 293cc BS6-compliant single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor as the Jawa, only packaged differently. In its current state of tune, the engine produces 27.33PS and 27.02Nm, however, we’d like to see a slightly different engine map on these bikes considering their off-road-centric character.
Yezdi Roadking
The Roadking looks more like a finished product in these spy shots. Unlike the earlier prototype, this one features an LED tail light, a production-ready exhaust with heat shields, a raised front fender, and a new headlight cowl. You also have several other scrambler-like elements such as a tall braced handlebar for extra rigidity, neutral-set footpegs, and bench seat and a tyre hugger with an integrated number plate holder for practicality.
Coming to its hardware. The Roadking seems to be using a raked-out front fork with an offset fork to aid light off-roading. It's linked to a spoke wheel, which appears to be slightly larger than the one at the rear. The rear shocks seem to be gas-charged. The block pattern tyres are oddly similar to the MRF Zapper Kurve unit on the Honda CB350RS. It gets disc brakes at both ends, with ABS as standard.
Yezdi Adventure Tourer
Moving on to the next bike -- the ADV poised to soon enter the adventure two-wheeler space. Off the bat, the bike looks like the Himalayan’s doppelgänger. It features an upright riding posture, a split-seat set up, a larger front and a wider rear wheel, a tall windscreen with a full-digital dash tucked behind it, a circular headlight, and mounting points for panniers. Other notable bits include long-travel suspension and raised fenders, an upswept exhaust, spoked wheels, and disc brakes at both ends presumably with switchable dual-channel ABS.

Yezdis were usually known to be more affordable versions of Jawa, however, going by the kit on offer, the Roadking and the upcoming ADV may cost a premium. That said, Classic legends could price them competitively, starting at around Rs 1.7 lakh (for the Roadking) and probably around Rs 1.9 lakh (for the ADV), both prices ex-showroom. Expect Yezdi to launch these bikes early next year.
