2018 Honda Navi Launched; Gets Much-needed Fuel Gauge

For a relatively minor price hike, the moto-scoot now gets a fuel gauge and two new colours

Honda has launched the 2018 Navi in India at Rs 44,775. Before being discontinued for not complying with BSIV norms, the Honda Navi was sold for Rs 42,784 (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). So now, what more does the 2018 version offer for a price hike of roughly Rs 1,900?

In a nutshell, a much-needed fuel-gauge indicator, body-coloured rearview mirrors, a BSIV-compliant engine and two additional colours - green and brown. Other than this, the two-wheeler remains the same. Its 109cc engine is the same motor seen on the Honda Activa 5G and is BSIV-compliant now. It churns out 8PS of power and 8.96Nm of torque. Underpinnings too remain the same, with upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear. Braking, meanwhile, is handled by 130mm drum units on both ends.

The addition of a fuel gauge is a welcome move, considering the motorcycle only packs a small 3.5-litre fuel tank. The new colours, on the other hand, will help the company keep the Navi fresh. Here’s Honda’s official statement about the launch.

Honda launches 2018 edition NAVi

New Delhi, July 20, 2018: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) today launched the new 2018 edition of NAVi with new stylish fuel gauge and metal muffler protector which provide for extra convenience.
