The Rizta’s underseat storage space looks good enough to accommodate TWO half-face helmets
(Update: Ather Energy has launched the all-new Ather Rizta family scooter. Check out the details in our launch story here.)
Ather’s latest teaser of the upcoming Rizta has shown off its sizeable underseat storage. In the video, we can clearly see the boot space is long and has a good amount of depth to fit a lot of stuff inside, it also has an LED strip boot light.
The underseat storage can easily fit two half-face helmets along with smaller items like packets of chips and other knick-knacks. There is also a small compartment at the front part of the seat to keep your documents, first-aid kit, tools and charger. Along with the spacious seat, the scooter has a chunky single-piece grab rail.
The video also offers a detailed look at the electric scooter, highlighting its brakes, tyres, and alloy wheels. The Rizta is fitted with a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. The scooter features a box-section swingarm and rides on 12-inch alloy wheels. It is equipped with MRF Zapper-N tyres. Even though it doesn't have a hub motor, the rear wheel has a wheel cover. The electric scooter features an ergonomically designed side stand for better practicality.
The e-scooter promises to be pretty sturdy and reliable as we already saw its impressive water-wading capacity in knee-deep water and its battery being drop-tested from 40 feet. Moreover, the Rizta will also come with an ‘anti-skid’ feature, which we think will basically be single-channel ABS.
The Ather Rizta will be launched on April 6, 2024, at the Ather Community Day. Pre-bookings for the e-scooter have already started and it can be booked for just Rs 999. We expect the Rizta to be priced at around Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air and Bajaj Chetak.
