Bajaj Boxer launched in Gujarat now

Bajaj Bikes always had those nostalgic characteristic feel, which is reinforced further with the advent of new Bajaj Boxer 150 named as 'Bharat Bike'. Bajaj Boxer was manufactured with the primary intention to cater to rough roads of the rural areas with tough performance and fuel efficiency. On Thursday, in Rajkot, the new Boxer 150 was rolled out opportune to capture the rural markets in Saurashtra, by announcing its intention of achieving a sale of 4000 bikes every month. The new sporty 150 cc Bajaj Boxer price is just Rs 42,000 making it a value buy in comparison to most other 150 cc bikes that are priced around Rs 55,000 to 80,000. 

Manish Jhatav, Zonal Manager, Bajaj Auto spoke about this target of achieving sales of Boxer bikes starting from Gujarat state. Bajaj may have chosen Gujarat to initiate the promotion and sales, one because of the rural localities around and secondly because Gujarat has been in news in last few days with Sadhbhawna Mission. Manish Jhatav also mentioned that by the end of this fiscal, Bajaj Auto’s market share in Gujarat which was about 30-33 per cent is expected to be raised to about 40 percent with this new launch in the state.

The affordable Bajaj Boxer specifications include a 150 cc, air cooled, single cylinder, 4 stroke engine with maximum power of 12 ps @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 1.25 Kgm @ 5500 rpm. Bajaj Boxer 150 is proposing a mileage of around 60 kmpl in city and around 75 kmpl on highways. The new Boxer features an electric start, a rugged look shown by the frame, swing arm and chassis and metal body with a heavy duty carrier.

The auto giant has launched this new offering in keeping with the requirements of the rural market therefore Meatier tyres are used to aid grip and stability for rough road and heavy load conditions. With good monsoon this year, rural economy is doing well and therefore Bajaj Bikes are hoping for a good demand for Bajaj Boxer 150 as an affordable fuel efficient bike.
