Here’s a comprehensive list of all the premium bikes expected this year
Despite the pandemic, the premium segment witnessed quite a few launches in 2020 and it’s set to gain momentum in 2021 with several new bikes. Here are the motorcycles expected in the price bracket of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh:
Honda Rebel 1100
Expected Price- Rs 12 lakh
Expected Launch- Q3, 2021
The Rebel 1100 will be Honda’s entrant in the big cruiser bike segment in India. It carries the minimal bobber styling from the Rebel range of motorcycles. The Rebel 1100 will get a 1,084cc motor from the CRF1100L Africa Twin but in a different state of tune. The engine output is rated at 87PS and 98Nm. The Rebel 1100 is likely to be equipped with different riding modes, three-level traction control, cruise control as well as wheelie control. The Rebel 1100 will be the only large-capacity Japanese cruiser in a segment dominated by American brands.
Honda CB1000R
Expected Price- Rs 14.46 lakh
Expected Launch- Q3, 2021
Honda will expand its streetfighter motorcycle range with the 2021 CB1000R. The previous-gen CB1000R plus variant will make way for the new Black Edition. The 2021 model will house a 998cc engine that makes 145.48PS and 104Nm. The 2021 CB1000R gets a bunch of electronic nannies such as four levels of riding modes, three levels of engine power, engine brake, and switchable traction control. The CB1000R will go up against the Suzuki Katana once both bikes are launched.
Suzuki Katana
Expected Price- Rs 12 lakh
Expected Launch- Q3, 2021
Suzuki showcased the Katana at Auto Expo 2020 alongside the GSX-S1000. It takes styling cues from the Suzuki Katana of the 80s. However, everything else on the bike is modern. The engine makes 150PS of power and 108Nm of torque. The features list is likely to include riding modes, traction control, adjustable levels of ABS, and stability control.
2021 Yamaha MT09
Expected Price- Rs 11.50 lakh
Expected Launch- Q2, 2021
One of the most hooligan motorcycles that we expect to launch this year is the 2021 Yamaha MT09. It will have an 899cc three-cylinder engine that will make about 119PS of power and 93Nm of torque. Since it will arrive as a CBU product, the price could be on the higher side. The MT09 will feature a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, riding modes, and wheelie control as well. It will rival the 890 Duke, Triumph Street Triple, and Kawasaki Z900.
KTM 890 Adventure
Expected Price- Rs 11.50 lakh
Expected Launch- Q2, 2021
As the 790 ADV doesn’t meet the Euro 5/BS6 norms, KTM plans on entering the larger-capacity adventure touring segment with the 890 Adventure. It will have an 889cc motor with a power output of around 104.6PS and 100Nm. It could come equipped with traction control, riding modes, switchable ABS, wheelie control, and adjustable suspension among other things. It will take on the Triumph Tiger 900 and Ducati Multistrada 950.
Aprilia RS 660

The RS 660 carries a 659cc parallel-twin motor that makes 100PS of power and 67Nm of torque. It's mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. Aprilia has loaded the RS 660 with electronics such as five riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie, and cruise control. The RS 660 will not only be the most affordable Aprilia until the Tuono 660 is launched but also one of the most feature-packed middleweights in the segment.
Expected Price- Rs 11.50 lakh
Expected Launch- Q2, 2021
Triumph has unveiled the 850 Sport and will be launching it sometime in April 2021. The 850 Sport is a road-oriented, marginally detuned version of the Tiger 900. The engine is an inline triple, 888cc unit that pumps out 85PS and 82Nm. With expected pricing of Rs 11.50 lakh, the 850 Sport will cost Rs 2.2 lakh less than the Tiger 900 GT.
Triumph Daytona
Expected Price- Rs 10.50 lakh
Expected Launch- Q4, 2021
The previous-generation Triumph Daytona was no less than a missile and the brand moved a good number of units. Now, for 2021, we expect Triumph to launch the Daytona 765 in India. It will be powered by an inline triple 765cc engine with 113PS of power and 73Nm of torque. The new Daytona could feature five riding modes, bi-directional quickshifter, traction, and wheelie control.
